Shiva Family: Balance of conflicting forces

The only god who is both a saint and a householder is Lord Shiva. His family is a representation of harmony and love, where even the most incompatible things coexist together. Lord Shiva wears snakes around his neck, while Lord Ganesha rides a mouse. Nagraj also resides with Lord Kartikeya, who uses a peacock as his conveyance. Mother Parvati’s conveyance is a lion, while Lord Shiva’s favorite is a nandi bull. Even though they are all naturally seen as foes, they coexist because of Shiva’s mercy. This encourages us to keep the family’s love, tolerance, and patience intact.

The Shiva family includes Navagrahas

Shiva worship may eradicate all planetary flaws, yet most people use various therapies to bring harmony to Navagrahas. Lord Shiva himself is a member of the Navagrahas’ family:

Shiva’s dazzling form is the Sun God.

Shiva’s head is decorated with the Moon himself.

Lord Kartikeya is the embodiment of Mars’ adoration.

Mercury’s ruling god is Lord Ganesha himself.

The manifestation of Guru Graha (Jupiter) is Nandi, Shiva’s preferred chariot.

Mother Parvati, a representation of strength and beauty, is connected to Venus.

Lord Shiva’s trident, which offers karmaphalam and justice, is connected to Saturn.

The snake-like decorations on Lord Shiva’s neck are Rahu and Ketu.

Rudrabhishek: Resolving familial issues and planetary flaws

The most efficient way to get Shiva’s blessings is via Rudrabhishek. Water, milk, Gangajal, honey, ghee, panchamrit, and other ingredients are used. This:

✔ Every planetary flaw has been calmed.

✔ A rise in family harmony.

✔ Life is filled with positive energy.

Worshiping Shiva with the whole family is seen to be very auspicious on the day of Mahashivratri. Involve your neighbors and family in this holy endeavor on this day to ensure that peace, love, and unity endure within the family.

Shiva family and Panchatatva

In addition to ruling the nine planets, Lord Shiva also controls the five elements:

The element of water is represented by the moon and the Ganga.

The element of air is connected to Trishul and Damru.

The element of fire is represented by Lord Kartikeya’s brilliant appearance.

The Nandi bull represents the element of earth.

Sky element: The whole cosmos is held by Lord Shiva.

Only Mahakaal has the power to alter destiny

According to Goswami Tulsidas ji—

“Bhavvi metti sakhi Tripurari, tap kare kumari tumhari.”

In other words, only Mahadev has the ability to alter destiny. By teaching the sage Markandeya the Mahamrityunjaya mantra, he had revealed the path of overcoming death.

On the day of Mahashivratri, worshiping Shiva takes away all of life’s challenges. By the grace of Shiva, the unfavorable effects of the planets are removed, and the family is happy and peaceful.
