Mother appears here at midnight! She gives darshan to the devotees in the form of a little girl

Bikaner: Bikaner’s culture and traditions are well-known. Here, thousands of people come in advance to participate in a special Rammat. The locals do special worship to Mata Ashapura before this occasion. We are discussing the famous Rammat that took place in Bisso ka Chowk.

Mata Ashapura provides darshan to the devotees every year at midnight before Rammat, when she manifests as a child. For this miraculous darshan, the whole city comes in droves. Bissa Chowk is decked up like a bride during Rammat, and the place has a carnival vibe. Many ladies congregate on home rooftops to take in this magnificent occasion.

A ritual that dates back 200–300 years

According to Indra Kumar Bissa, a Rammat member, the Rammat custom observed at Bisso ka Chowk dates back 200–300 years, Local 18 said. This event features the Rammat of Bhakt Puranmal one year and the Rammat of Nautanki Shahzadi the next year.

The Rammat event runs for nine hours, from 1 am until 10 am. It is said that Mata Ashapura is placated before the Rammat arrives, following which she personally visits and bestows darshan on the followers.

The mother takes on the guise of a kid at this period and spends a whole hour giving darshan to the city people. Devotees are excited to see her and blow away the saree in addition to giving the mother prasad.

For this wonderful darshan, thousands of devotees come here each year. When Ashapura Mata comes at midnight, she offers the devotees darshan till one in the morning.

Chanting mantras while worshiping the toe

A unique procedure is also used to choose Mata Ashapura’s kid form. A boy between the ages of 10 and 12 who is both physically fit and attractive is chosen for this position.

The kid shape is adorned with gold decorations throughout this period. He is adorned with the following ornaments:

Galpatia (neckband)

Armlets

The waistband

Chandhar

Unique decorations in the hands.

Vedic chanting is used to specifically worship this kid form on the toe. Local mythology holds that Mother Aashapura manifests when this kid form assumes the mother’s form. Currently, all of the devotees’ requests are granted.

The devotees are thrilled to touch the infant form’s feet during this celestial darshan. Devotees and artists honor the mother with devotional songs on this special day. Bano Sahayak Chand Banane Me, Karo Aashapura Anand Shahar Bikane Me is sung in particular.

In what way is the kid shape chosen?

Children are specifically chosen for this occasion, according to Indra Kumar Bissa. In this procedure, four to five kids are assembled in one location, and one of them is chosen to represent Mata as a child.

This long-standing custom draws thousands of devotees, making Bissa Chowk the epicenter of devotion and faith. An essential component of Bikaner’s religious and cultural legacy is this event honoring Mata Ashapura’s heavenly darshan.
